Singer Rod Stewart has become a father for the eighth time after wife Penny Lancaster gave birth yesterday to a son.
Longtime rocker Rod Stewart, 66, and wife Penny Lancaster have welcomed a baby boy!
The couple named their baby Aiden and he weighed in at 7lbs. 12oz.
Rod and Penny released a statement saying, “After the long-awaited arrival of their second child, Rod and Penny are proud and thrilled to welcome Alastair’s baby brother, Aiden, into the world. Mother and baby are healthy and blissfully happy”.
Aiden is Stewart and Lancaster’s second child, joining big brother Alastair, 5.
The couple had problems conceiving naturally and Penny, 39, became pregnant after her third round of IVF treatment.
Stewart and Lancaster married in Italy in 2007.
Rod has a son and daughter with his first wife Alana Hamilton and a daughter with model Kelly Emberg. Rod also has two children from his marriage to model Rachel Hunter. The rocker also had a daughter in the 1960′s, who was adopted by another family.
